What is a seafood boil?

Technically, a seafood boil isn't a dish - it's a social event! Seafood boils are big in the United States, particularly Louisiana. Everyone gathers around a big table covered in freshly-cooked seafood and you get stuck in. Shrimp and crab boils are the most common.


Everything is seasoned with knockout Cajun spices: expect lots of garlic and pepper. Cooked with shellfish, you can also get fresh corn on the cob, red potatoes, boiled eggs and more. It's all laid out with lemon and sauces for a proper feast.


In the UK, sadly, it's REALLY hard to get a good seafood boil. Here at Seafood Boss, we wanted to change that! Our version of a seafood boil is a luxurious platter of lobster (whole or lobster tails), snow crab, soft shell crab and king prawns. Everything gets covered in our very own Cajun sauce - packed with flavour, and perfect for dipping the shellfish meat.

How it works

We're based in Beckenham, South-East London, where all our seafood is freshly cooked to order in our kitchen. If you happen to live locally, you can receive a HOT Seafood Boss platter delivered straight to you. All you need to do is order at least 24 hours in advance, and let us know when you want it delivered. If you're not sure whether you're close enough, just get in touch.


If you live elsewhere in the country (England, Wales or Scotland), we'll send you our Chilled Boss Box via courier. The seafood is pre-cooked (with the sauce separate), and will stay perfectly fresh in a special insulated box. Once it gets to you, all it needs is a 6 - 10 minute reheating in a sufficiently large pot.


Simply order 48 hours in advance, and receive a fresh, perfectly-cooked seafood platter delivered to your door. You'll receive a text notification on the morning of delivery, with a one-hour time slot. Easy peasy!
